OUR HERITAGE
IMI originates from Honduras Maritime Inspection (HMI), a classification society founded in 1984 and officially authorized by the Government of Honduras to conduct surveys and issue technical certificates for vessels registered under the Honduran flag.
Building upon this established heritage, IMI was created to expand these services internationally, operating as an affiliated company of HMI while extending technical support and inspection services to the wider global maritime community.
